Qld: Opposition says Ferguson should be reassessed

BRISBANE, Jan 13 AAP - The Queensland Opposition today called for mental health authoritiesto assess freed child sex offender Dennis Ferguson.
Ferguson, 54, was released from a Brisbane prison last Thursday after serving 15 yearsfor sexually abusing three children in a Brisbane hotel room in 1987.
Ferguson has reportedly said he wanted to trace the girl he sexually assaulted as asix-year-old, who would now be in her early 20s, to seek her help in having his convictionsoverturned.
